Weed Control Program

All privately owned properties in Cordillera must mitigate for noxious weeds.  If, upon inspection, the metro district finds undesirable plants within the property boundaries, Community Operations will notify the property owner that there are undesirable plants on the property and will coordinate with the owner to select an appropriate weed management program.

The weed management program exists to keep the community beautiful, preserve natural flora and minimize health risks to native wildlife, pests and people.

Below are Colorado noxious weed species commonly found in Cordillera.
