This system enables government agencies to provide residents and visitors with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons, and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods.
Subscribers will receive time-sensitive messages to whatever device is specified, such as home, mobile or business phones and/or text messages.
ECAlert system underwent a service change on Oct. 31. As a result, anyone who was subscribed to EC Alert will need to sign up as a new user to receiving notifications. Subscriptions can be change at any time.
