Public safety reminds property owners that white transponders must be placed on the dashboard or adhered to the window. If the transponder is hidden in the console, the door pocket or glove compartment the readers do not sense the transponder to open the gates.
Drivers are also reminded to:
The gate readers need space and time to read the transponder between cars. Vehicles that travel too fast up to the gate or too close behind the vehicle in front do not allow enough distance and time for the readers to sense the transponder and open or delay closing.
Public safety has adjusted the timing before the gates lower to their lowest setting. They are seeking community cooperation in using the gates properly.
