DRB Reviews Landscape and Architectural Projects

As spring approaches and home projects are planned, property owners may need to notify the DRB before starting landscape and construction projects. Below is a list of examples that require DRB approval or notification.

Landscape items that may require DRB approval:

  • Adding or removing sod and irrigation
  • Adding or removing landscape
  • Clearing for Wildfire mitigation
  • New planting beds
  • Water feature
  • Retaining walls
  • Removing or adding patios
  • Hot tubs
  • Fire pits or built-in grills
  • Adding or changing exterior lighting
  • Changing or new address marker
  • Installing flag poles, artwork, recreational equipment
  • Adding fencing or screening
  • Septic repair or replacement

Architectural items that may require DRB approval:

  • Recoating or Color change
    • Prior written approval must be obtained from the Design Review Board to recoat the exterior of a building that deviates from the originally approved color scheme (color and formulation).
  • Adding or replacing exterior doors, windows or garage door
  • Addition to house
  • Changing or replacing exterior materials
  • Rebuilding deck or handrails
  • New or replacing roofing material
  • Adding solar panels, satellite dish, exterior equipment
  • Temporary or permanent structures on the property

Note: Enclave property owners must have HOA approval prior to DRB approval.
