Living in Cordillera
There is a special place in the Vail Valley called Cordillera.
Home to a 7,000-acre gated alpine community, Cordillera is a Rocky Mountain paradise.
Surrounded by one million acres of White River National Forest, Cordillera’s open space and natural beauty–combined with outstanding amenities and access to world-class skiing and championship golf–make Cordillera the finest luxury mountain community.
Cordillera is graced with abundant wildlife and
breathtaking, expansive vistas at every turn.
Closeness to nature and a deep sense of community provided by the many opportunities for social and recreational activities in Cordillera create enduring friendships and warm family memories.
During the winter, enjoy challenging Nordic skiing and snowshoeing on Cordillera’s majestic groomed trails–in addition to sledding and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Just a short drive away, Beaver Creek and Vail offer world-renowned skiing, fine dining, shopping, a vibrant art scene, and cultural events. With the Cordillera Vail Gondola Club just steps away from Gondola One in Vail Village, members have comfort and convenience with ski services, après ski opportunities, and more.
Cordillera is also an idyllic and active summer retreat.
The Club at Cordillera is a private, members-only golf club. It offers members three private championship golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, Hale Irwin, and Tom Fazio, each with distinctive restaurants. Additionally, an executive short course designed by Dave Pelz is available to all Cordillera residents, making Cordillera a golfer’s paradise.
The 33 miles of maintained trails for hiking and biking, an equestrian center, fly fishing on nearly a mile and a half of idyllic water on the Eagle River, and four stocked ponds all add to the summer season’s opportunities for recreational enjoyment.
Newly Remodeled Athletic Center and Trailhead Clubhouse
The newly remodeled Athletic Center of Cordillera, which boasts a large indoor saltwater swimming center and outdoor spa, provides homeowners with the ultimate in fitness equipment and classes, plus outdoor tennis and newly expanded and resurfaced pickleball courts.
The private Trailhead Clubhouse facility provides heated outdoor saltwater swimming pools and playground spaces to delight families all summer long. The pools at the Trailhead Clubhouse include one large pool that has two 25-yard lap lanes along with areas for recreational swimming, a kiddie pool, and a hot tub that accommodates approximately 20 adults.
Cordillera’s four distinct neighborhoods: Divide, Ranch, Summit, and Territories
Each of Cordillera’s neighborhoods has its own unique features and amenities. Cordillera is home to 824 homesites, with more than 600 developed homes. It boasts its own U.S. Post Office, with private mailboxes and services provided for all property owners. Homeowners can even rent an RV parking space–and enjoy the use of the free car wash and dog park.
The Cordillera community is governed by the Cordillera Property Owners Association, its HOA, and the Cordillera Metro District, a quasi-municipal corporation that is responsible for infrastructure, public safety, and open space management.
The Cordillera Valley Club, located across I-70 north of Cordillera, is a separate gated community governed by the Cordillera Valley Club Property Owners Association and the Cordillera Valley Club Metro District.
Cordillera is located along the I-70 corridor only 25 miles east of the Vail/Eagle County Regional Airport and 140 miles west of Denver International Airport.
