Canasta

The Cordillera Canasta Group is open to everyone including beginners to advanced players.

The name canasta, from the Spanish word for “basket,” probably derives from the tray placed in the center of the table to hold undealt cards and discards. Variations include samba and bolivia. The object of the game is to score points by making as many melds as possible, especially canastas.
