Noise or Nuisance Complaints

The Cordillera Metro District strives to minimize noise impacts from the operation of cars and trucks on District roads. Engine brake mufflers are required for all vehicles in Cordillera, pursuant to Colorado state law requiring that any vehicle equipped with engine compression brake devices (commonly referred to as “Jake Brakes”) must be equipped with proper mufflers. Vehicles with exhaust systems that exceed a noise level of 85 decibels will be restricted from entry.

Noise and nuisance complaints associated with activities on private property should be directed to the CPOA.
