Gate Access
Cordillera is a gated community with controlled access through two gatehouse facilities,
one at the entrance to The Divide neighborhood and one at the entrance to The Ranch, Summit, and Territories neighborhoods.
Property Owner and Club Member Gate Access
Cordillera gate access is accomplished through the use of a RFID transponder (sticker), which is attached to the vehicle after purchase. Transponders are non-transferrable and vehicle-specific; they cost $30 each and can be obtained by filling out the application linked below.
Once the online form is completed you will receive a confirmation email within a short time. If you do not receive an email, please check your spam folder.
Transponders may be picked up at the CMD Admin Building, Monday – Friday between 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, located at: 408 Carterville Road, above the Cordillera Post Office, where a team member will attach the transponder to your vehicle.
For 24/7 access to any unstaffed Cordillera gate that does not respond to a transponder, please press the call box button or call (970) 926-2335 for assistance.

If the warranty deed names a trust or LLC as the property owner, please additionally submit documentation showing names of the trustees or LLC members.
Vendor Access
Contractors, service providers, housekeepers, property managers, realtors, and other vendors conducting regular business in Cordillera are required to register their vehicles with Cordillera Public Safety. Each vehicle in a vendor’s fleet is required to have a RFID transponder (sticker) on its windshield. This allows Cordillera Public Safety to track who is within the community at all times in case of emergency. It also allows Cordillera Public Safety to monitor vendor compliance with posted work/no-work hours and holidays.
Transponders are non-transferrable and vehicle-specific; they cost $30 each and do not expire. They must be properly adhered to the correct vehicle by Cordillera Metro District staff. Transponders that are taped on the vehicle, loose, damaged, or do not match the information in the system are not valid for gate access.
Gate access transponders may be obtained by filling out the application linked below.
Transponders can be picked up at the CMD Admin Building, Monday – Friday between 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, located at: 408 Carterville Road, above the Cordillera Post Office, where a team member will confirm your vehicle information and attach the transponder to your vehicle. Transponders will not be given out for vehicles that are not present.
Please contact the CMD Admin OFfice at (970) 926-1923 or email communityaccess@cordillerametro.org with any questions.
